Car....Interstate 89 from the South
Get off at Exit 16. At the bottom of the ramp take a right turn. This will be Routes  2 & 7.  Travel 1.8 miles to #127 South and take a left turn.  This will be at the top of the hill.  After turning left travel 2.8 miles on this road and you will see the water appear on the right.....Mallets Bay.  Continue straight through the light.  An additional 1.1 miles will bring you to a turn in #127 to the left.  Take this turn.  Landmarks at this intersection are the Champlain Marina on the right and HarborView Plaza on the left.  From this turn drive .3 miles to our White and Red wood frame building on the right.  Signpost is marked 354 Prim Rd and the driveway is shared with Fox Marine.  On the side of the red portion of the building is a Green awning with our sign on it....Cloth'n Canvas.  You are here!

Car.....Interstate 89 from the North
Get off at Exit 16.  At the bottom of the ramp take a left.  Continue with the above directions towards Mallets Bay.

Boat........via Lake Champlain
We are located in Mallets Bay on Lake Champlain.  To get here by boat you will enter the outer bay at "The Gut"Sailboaters use caution.  The water directly to the west of the opening is very shallow and cannot be navigated directly in.  Best to call us for seasonal water depths and good directions in.  Once into the outer bay travel on a course of approximately 120° magnetic.   This will bring you through the narrows or the gate into the inner bay.  To the right you will see the first marina which is the Marble Island Club.  Follow this south shore around past the next anchorage which will be the Three Island Yacht Club (not on the charts) and then Brown Ledge Camp.  The next bay in on the right will be your first opportunity to access our shop.  Travel on in to the end of the bay and you will see the Champlain Marina directly in the center of the bays end.  Dock on the end of one of the two sections. Look for Bruce. You will find a pay phone at the store at docks end.  This is a good place to get ice, fuel, water and limited provisions.  Call us at 658-6826.  The shop is a 10 minute walk up Prim Rd from where you are.
Your next opportunity for dockage if you elect to go further into the inner bay will be The Moorings.  Pass by this first bay and continue along the south shoreline.  After passing the next point, Coates Island on the chart, the inner bay will open up to your south.  Take a new course of approximately 195º magnetic.  Start looking for the building with the light green roof.  This is The Moorings.  You can tie up here.  Ask for Peter or Julie.  Also Sean and Chris are very helpful.  Its about a 15 minute walk to the shop via #127 (Lakeshore Dr) and Prim Rd.  You'll pass a good hardware store and grocery store on the left of #127 as you walk in a westerly direction.  Lots of traffic so be careful.  No fuel at the Moorings but next door to the east is Mallets Bay Marina (Jakes). He sells fuel, water and ice.  Note....all compass headings are approximate.  There is no substitute for actual line of sight navigation.  Be prudent when entering.
